Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” Law Expands to All Grades, Thanks to State Board of Education, DeSantis

Florida’s infamous “Don’t Say Gay” legislation was expanded on Wednesday by the Florida Board of Education, banning classroom instruction on sexual orientation and gender identity in all grades unless required by state education standards. Prior to the expansion, the legislation banned lessons from kindergarten through third grade, although teachers in higher grades felt concerned that they could be punished for classroom discussions. The expansion comes amid a flood of anti-LGBTQ+ legislation in state houses across the country.

AP News reports the expansion “came at the request of Gov. Ron DeSantis (R–FL.) as he gears up for an expected presidential run.”

GIs, free trade, Australia and the EU – IPwars.com

With the closing stages of the negotiations between Australia and the EU over the proposed free trade agreement almost upon us, the EU has proposed a list of 55 further wine geographical indications it wants to protect.[1] Amongst others, the list includes “prosecco” and “vittoria”. The Department of Agriculture is holding a Public Objections Process to assess the impact of accepting these names.

There are four grounds for potential objection (and only four):

  1. The EU GI name is used in Australia as the common name for the relevant good, including as a type or style of wine.
  2. The EU GI

Wilkerson died March 4 while in the custody of the Ashland Police Department. The bystander video — which sparked local criticism of how the police handled the incident — showed Wilkerson suffering from health issues while being

WASHINGTON — Former President Donald Trump is egging on Republicans in Congress to “defund” federal law enforcement ahead of a government funding deadline this fall.

“Republicans in Congress should defund the DOJ and FBI until they come to their senses,” he posted on his social media platform, writing in all-caps. “The Democrats have totally weaponized law enforcement in our country and are viciously using this abuse of power to interfere with our already under siege elections!”

What Is Debt Recovery: How To Recoup Unpaid Invoices?

Small businesses are prime targets for invoices being left unpaid. Unlike a large business with a dedicated accounting department, small business owners often manage their accounts themselves or use a bookkeeper on occasion. This makes it exceedingly difficult to monitor and manage invoices, as well as outlay ongoing fees for an accountant.

Additionally, while an accountant or bookkeeper is equipped to ‘balance your checkbook’, trying to recover money that’s unpaid is an entirely different matter.

When you’re a small business, any unpaid amount is felt that much more acutely. If you don’t have the resources to constantly spend time chasing
